I have been a regular customer at this restaurant, but unfortunately, their service has deteriorated. On two occasions, I have purchased food that was not satisfactory. Firstly, the igado had a strong taste of rotten meat, and when I attempted to contact them, they stated that it was normal. Secondly, the pakbet contained spoiled shrimp paste, and when I called them, they did not provide any alternatives or a refund. Regrettably, this will be my last purchase from this restaurant.

Ordered catering multiple times. Chopsuey was spoiled and cooked without care, love, or taste. Very big turn off! Chicken Afritada/caldereta was lacking in flavor. Cuts of chicken are super bony, fatty and cheap with a lack of vegetables. Cassava cake is not homogenous and top part was barely charred through (gave more like Biko and less like cassava cake). Buco pandan is delicious. Sweet and sour pompano was steamed well and great vegetables to accompany it. Lumpia felt slightly under done and the order was not ready past the scheduled time of pickup.

Authentic taste of Filipino cooking that reminds me of my comfort foods growing up ! Chicken tinola with green papaya and ginger was soothing to my sore throat. Vegetable sides of squash and beans… yum! Servers were very pleasant. Great experience!

Kabayan Restaurant is like home cooking style. I like their palabok, bbq, kare-kare, small daing fish...I would like to requests to add more water to their rice;hard to swallow and please lesser the salt or soy sauce on their adobo. I do like coming to Kabayan than on the other Filipino Restaurants in Union. Kabayan personnel are nice.
